The ocean was calm, and the moon was full.
Tindra began her long, gentle swim home. Silvery light shimmered across the waves, showing her the way.
She had travelled this route many times before. The moon and stars always guided her safely through the dark.
Tindra was an adventurous sea turtle, and the ocean was her playground.
Suddenly, a pod of dolphins appeared. They leapt in and out of the water, splashing and playing as they passed.
Tindra decided to follow the cheerful group for a while and paddled a little faster.
But then a bright light from a nearby hotel shone across the water.
The light confused Tindra. She could no longer see the moon clearly, and she lost the path that led home.
A few tears rolled down her gentle face.
“Will I ever find my way back to my friends among the seagrass?” she wondered.
Just then, one of the dolphins returned.
It swam underneath Tindra and gently guided her back towards the correct path.
Soon, the stars and the moon were shining brightly again, lighting the way through the dark night.
Tindra smiled to herself.
“I am one lucky turtle,” she thought. “The ocean is full of friends who look after me.”
